I also took one aerobics class to see if I could meet some chics but I could not keep up with them. They all seemed like they knew what they were doing and I almost busted my ass trying to go up and down that plastic stair thingy.
I mean my home gym, I don't go out anyome, I hate intimidating others

I never said I wanted to be big....I said I want to be 165lbs to look healthy.

At 5'8 I would be considered overweight if I were 165 according to the BMI....

You're a doc and you should know that resistance exercise is the best Right now he is hooked but if he let go he will get depressed, that's one big drawback of muscle building

Very true. I just need to get rid of the 40 pounds I gained all in my belly! I am too damn impatient when I start going thinking all will be done in a couple of weeks. I had started going and after a month I fractures my foot. I think it was a stress fracture so that meant no more threadmill so now I havent gone for the last 2 months. I need about another month to heal as my foot is still painful.

Very true. I damaged a muscle in my neck a couple of months ago and consequently have not been to the gym much, or run for that matter. It's starting to get to me. I will try to use this thread as inspiration to get back on the programme, starting tomorrow (today I mean).

Get a bike and some free weights, that all you need to get started and stay with a simple program. Have a chart and some routines drawn right in front of you. Remember to rest, your muscles build up at rest not when you exercise.
Depending on your age you may want to forget cardio exercises that have an impact feature such as treadmill or even running. Biking and swiming are you best shot even while you are healing. The sooner you start the better you will feel. Don't give yourself excuses for why you should wait

That's pretty impressive for 2 months. Would you be kind enough to post your routine IN DETAIL including the different exercises that you do and how many reps of each and on what days. You have really got me pumped. If I can't do cardio, I may as well start lifting and that too will help me loose my belly. I may also have to post pics. I think that is a great motivation
