Local talk radio

Put on your foil hats, folks!

Local talk radio is ga-ga over our senator's name in the callgirl phone directory. He's a "family values" Republican.

I listened to the callers and the host and the irony was astonishing! these folks were saying stuff like, "Left-wing conspiracy" and "who cares about his private life"!

You should have heard this same crew when Clinton was in trouble from the Monica Hum -- they were incensed!

Anyway, I thought y'all would enjoy the spectacle.

More Bread!

More Circuses!

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and that’s what I intend to reverse.

~ Senator Barack H. Obama

A new form of bigotry has become fashionable in America.

"If spending money you don't have is the height of stupidity, borrowing money to give it away is the height of insanity." -- anon

This is why I don't listen to talk radio.

It could be the most liberal, independent, libertarian, or Buddhist. I can’t even deal with the call-ins for Click and Clack.

BATON ROUGE – Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt said he has linked “five prostitutes in New Orleans” with Republican U.S. Sen. David Vitter, a “family values” advocate.

Flynt said the five would share in a $1 million bounty his magazine offered for those who provide credible information about sexual infidelities of politicians in Congress who back family values.

Hypocrisy makes a politician’s sex life fair game, the publisher said.

“Sometimes I have to go bottom feed,” Flynt said.

“When someone is living a lie contrary to the way they are advocating in their public lives, they become fair game,” he said in a telephone press conference from Los Angeles began shortly after 4 p.m. Louisiana time.

Flynt said he has “20 something investigations going that all look good” into members of Congress, a result of his full-page ad in the Washington Post in early June offering $1 million to anyone who provided credible information about sexual activities by married members who espoused family values.

“We have five prostitutes in New Orleans,” Flynt said. “They will probably share in the bounties.

“This is not a witch hunt. This is not to expose someone’s sex life,” Hustler said.

Vitter has attacked “any similarity of gay rights” and campaigned on the “sanctity of marriage,” Flynt said. He co-authored the proposed federal constitutional amendment that would have banned gay marriage or civil unions nationally.

“I don’t want a man like that legislating for me, especially in the areas of morality,” Flynt said. “This is payback time. Payback is a bitch.”

“I’m not exposing anyone’s sex life. I am only exposing the hypocrisy,” Flynt said. “I don’t care what their sex life is.”

"Vitter “is to the right of Attila the Hun every step of the way. Unfortunately, there are too many of these guys in Congress, and I am going to do my part of getting them out of there,” Flynt said.

“They will do anything to get elected, and then, when they get there, all they do is take the lobbyists’ money.”

The Washington Post ad cost him $106,000. “I don’t regret it at all. If we get even a couple of the phonies out, it is worth it.”

Sounds like you're finally coming over to our side. Word of advice, if you douse the child in Arby's Horsey sauce it tastes much better.

A friend last night had some AM talk radio station on in his suburban. It was only a 6 mile drive but after 3 miles I asked him to change it. Intolerable and sad.
