E.D., huh?

Bob Dole used Viagra fertilizer converting his land from barren desert to fertile shrubby grassland.

The biggest problems we are facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all and thatís what I intend to reverse.

As for the dust bowl. Yeah, farming techniques lent to the problem but it was not the main cause. It was a severe drought, unlike anything seen since. What caused the drought? Mankind? Get real. We're not that destructive on this planet. We weren't then and we sure the hell aren't now. You and your enviro-wacks may be selling but I'm not buying. If you want to spend YOUR time, money and resources fighting this 'problem', go ahead. It's your right. But don't shove it down my throat, raise my taxes and tell me I have to drive a Toyota Prius, install solar panels on my house and purchase 'green' power from the power company. As for CO2 emissions, if you really think it's a problem, breathe a little shallower, don't exert yourself and lay off the soda pops.
IF you had watched the concert or have read any of the data that Live Earth has been discussing you would KNOW that there have been NO "countless amounts of money and resources" recommendations. That is the big Obfuscators RED HERRING. Want to TRY and discredit something but can't do it with science, research and facts? Scare folks with smoke and mirrors costs projections based on...?

As for doom saying vs. sound science, there are tens of thousands of scientists on one side, funded by countries, states, universities, corporations, non profits and individuals and a few hundred scientists on the other side mostly funded, directly or indirectly by the energy industry.

Does that sound like the Tobacco issue of the Sixties and Seventies. Nearly every medical researcher in the world came to a singular conclusion about nicotine EXCEPT a few esteemed scientists from Kentucky, Virginia and North Carolina who just happened to have their research paid for by RJ Reynolds, Phillip Morris and others.

Oh, and I only drink water and unsweetened Ice Tea.

Interesting accidental analogy with those pictures. Laws enacted AFTER Earth Day in 1972 resulted in requirements for companies that destroy mountains during strip-mining and the resulting reclamation of much of South Eastern Kentucky looks much more like those pictures than you might think.

Side effects, besides esthetics include erosion control, resultant flood control, less pollution in streams [tributaries of Cumberland and Ohio Rivers] reintroduction of wildlife, re-establishment of a timber industry to the area, and the introduction of tourist industry to area.

So there was a bit of good to come from those tree huggers in Earth Day 72 and each one since then.

I helped the Earth by removing all the emissions controls on my engine and putting out as much black smoke as possible.
