Ron Paul Passes John McCain in Second Quarter Campaign Contributions
Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul has revealed that he raised nearly $2.5 million in campaign contributions during the second quarter, putting him in front of one-time GOP frontrunner John McCain. While Ron Paul passed McCain he is still well behind the dollar figures attained by Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney.
Ron Paul said he has $2.4 million in cash on hand while Giuliani leads the Republican pack with $18 million in the bank while Romney has $12 million to keep his campaign running.
As for McCain, the Senator reported that he had $2 million in the bank.
Most see McCain’s dwindling account to be a sign that the end is near for his presidential aspirations rather than a beacon of hope for the Ron Paul campaign. Of course the congressman from Texas does rely heavily on volunteers and has not yet needed to dig deep into his donations to fund his campaign.
Regardless of what the McCain situation truly reflects Ron Paul remains optimistic about the second quarter results saying, “I think some of the candidates are on the down-slope, and we're on the up-slope.”

^ Tyrone...As in Obama. Read 'em and weep negro haterz. He's our next president and we'll finally see fair play.
He's gotten this far with hard work and focus. Can you think of a better role model for our nations underachievers?

There is a lot to like about Obama. He seems to be a uniter, optimistic, courageous, honest, sincere, not a machine pol, not an extremist, not beholden to corporate interests or those with a single issue agenda.
Would be a breath of fresh air after eight years of what we will have suffered.
