I have mentioned some of these before in other contexts, but:
Shared an elevator with Henry Kissinger when he visited my offices in London.
Called out Dustin Hoffman 'You dirty motherfucker, do that in your own country' when he gobbed on the floor while we were both window shopping in South Molton street one night.
(I recently found out that he is an extremely nice guy and a great pianist from my osteopath who is treating us both, so I have changed my opinion).
Bumped into Dr Ruth as she was leaving the Grand Hyatt on 42nd st in NY. She accepted my apology gracefully.
Bumped into Jackie Mason and knocked him over on 57th St. He called me a string of colourful names and since he had minders I let it go.
Met Dolly Parton when my wife was working in Saks, Beverly Hills. She is a lovely lady.
Ditto Loretta Swit, nasty luvvy has-been.
Sat next to Paul Michael Glaser in a diner in Brentwood. Later found out he had aids so I took three showers (j/k)
Chatted up Britt Ekland at the Camden Palace, London. Unsuccessful, got asked to "go forth and multiply" by her goons.
Got invited to Kevin Schwantz's birthday party at a pub in Kent, before he moved back to the USA. (Met other more minor bike racers at various times).
Can't think of any others at the moment, haven't slept much in the last 72 hours.
Oh, just remembered, had a chat with Peter Fonda in a restaurant in Venice, Italy. My g/f had put lipstick on me earlier so he did give me a strange look but he was a nice guy and I told him that I had a poster of him and Dennis Hopper in 'Easy Rider' on my wall for years when I was a kid. He looks unbelievable for his age.
And I said hi to Paul Mc Cartney on the same trip- he's very self important, don't like the wanker at all.
Reuters filmed an interview with Heather Small ( M People) in my building in The City a few years back. She really is
small, but an extremely nice person. (She was very complimentary about my kids whose photos were hanging on the walls).
