I met Evel when he jumped some cars at the old Amphitheater. Very cool guy. Bill Curtis lived across the street from me on Fullerton so no biggie there. When I worked at the Drake I met plenty. The nicest and funniest was Bill Cosby who always called me Doc, because of the chefs jacket. Biggest fucking asshole was Wayne Gretzky who accused me of ogling his wife. Insecure fucker.

Me and my buddy drove Dee Dee Ramone to Wisconsin because he missed the tour bus. We were enamored at first but half way through the trip we were ready to kick him out into the highway,he talked so much.
I got completely hammered at the Knickerbocker with Los Lobos and kept calling them the Gypsy Kings, lol.

Don't get it wrong,I wasn't mingling with them but rather installing security cameras and alarms plus doing service calls except for Kelsey,Woody and Willy whom just happen to frequent the island and have chance encounters.

I was probably working that show. I worked a lot of the old Evel shows. The guy was brilliant, but completely nuts. A few of us (including Evel and his wife) went to a Bulls game once. During halftime, they announced a celebrity in the crowd and spotlit Evel. Immediately afterward, without a word he stood up and walked out, even left his wife there. She had seen this behavior before, so she wasn't quite as weirded out as the rest of us.

I had lunch at an outdoor cafe I used to frequent on Lincoln Ave. just south of Fullerton one afternoon with a few friends, including the guy who owned the place, and lo and behold, up walks Bill Curtis with the hottest looking 16-18 y/o blond you ever saw. They sat at our table and we hung out for about an hour. Nice guy, but the jail-bait he walked in with stole the show.

I've heard Gretzky is a dick.

Jackie Chan at a booksigning in San Francisco. And Joe E. Brown once, in a radio studio when I was a really little boy.

Well we were across the street but my buddy Frank lived next door and we often saw that delicious trollop catching rays in a Adirondack chair......topless. They're still together.

Asianml,

Do you happen to have some photographs as well?
