There are a few actors, and a lot of musicians. Bobby Womack and I had our share of Gimlets. The guys from the exiles, an L.A. musicians soccer team. Keith Richards & Ron Wood, John Entwistle (RIP), Jimmy Page, Eric Burdon, Keith Emerson, Spencer Davis, Dave Davies (before his stroke), Rob Halford, Malcolm Young, Dick Dale, Carmine Apice, Jeff Beck, Billy Gibbons, Jo Walsh, Slash, Aynsley Dunbar, Soko Richardson (RIP), Graham Nash, Jack Bruce, Gary Brooker, Peter Frampton, Tim Bogert, Shelby Lynne, Phil Sousson, and many more.
L.A.'s music community is quite clannish.
My best friend is Terry Reid, and a certain Mr. Plant frequently calls looking for him.
I partied with the best of them. Honorable mention: Molly Hatchet.
The oldest musicians I know are probably Herb Jeffries and Pete Candoli, the youngest Spike Grey and Matt Malley.
Two of my favorite people are Share Pederson and Husband Bam, and of course my buddy Jack White, Katey Sagal's ex. The latter is a good actress, but a great singer / song writer.

My Uncle invented the TARDIS.. Does that count. Strictly speaking it doesn't exist, but I believe even over there you've heard of it?
