#1 is some race car that has been over restored and is now ridiculously overpriced for a low tech, easy to build, unreliable as hell, piece of art work that really isn't that good or tough to do. I just don't get all the fuss over vintage race cars. They should not be more valuable than road cars since they are far easier to build and restore.
#2 is a Cord 812 Super Charged Phaeton. At least it has the supercharged side pipes, which of course everyone added to their regular Cord. Cord and Duesenberg merged and their last factory and place of office residence was South Bend, IN. The Cord was always front wheel drive and was far, far, ahead of its time as far as driveability was concerned.
