US of A is a Rome of today. The world is ours to be responsible. Live with it. There is no alternative.
Not that it is not damaging to us, I have to admit.
At one time we could be the benevolent giant and take care of much of the World but that time has passed for a couple of reasons.
First, over the past six years we have so damaged our Foreign Policy image that we cannot run the World, even if it were ours to run. That is going to take decades to get back to a functional level.
Second, we have spend years Offensively trying to run the world while ignoring the humanitarian side of the same issues. The one necessary trait of ‚Äúrunning the world‚ÄĚ or being the responsible government is that, besides the need to keep rogue governments and terrorists in line, there is also the requirement to deal with all the hunger, health, education, and human needs of the population. The Benevolent Giant cannot ONLY rule with one hand, both hands must rule equally to be effective.
So, besides the unbelievable hard dollar costs associates with this Imperialist Manifesto there are also the coalition requirements with our friends with which we have spent so much time burning bridges. Since no one can ‚Äúgo it alone‚ÄĚ a Coalition is an absolute must to be the Mac Daddy with the Imperialist Manifesto and that might just be harder than the money requirement.
So who is lining up to pay for this?
