Exactly, you're there for the same reason most move there -- the isolationism you keep projecting on others...

I'm starting to understand why you stopped engaging in this kind of diatribe. Most Americans really don't want to know the truth, do they?

S Fe is not a world power and it does not have irrevocable interests across the world as the USA does.

Do you know what that number one 'irrevocable interest' is?

International arms sales

so why don't more US people vote? here in Oz it's compulsory to vote once u're 18...is it too much hassle? Obviously you guys know what a dumb arse he is during his first term...and most americans do think bush is a dick, why take the risk by not voting him out?

You are right but as far as military might, I think we are being challenged quite enough. Human bodies will be vulnerable when they set foot on ground. Machines can do a lot of destruction but inevitable you must put your soldier on the ground. Our soldiers are target practice right now. A bullet will still kill a soldier no matter how mighty our military may be. More soldiers have been killed than people were on 9-11 It will only get worse. You can't fight and win against someone who comes to the field wanting death when we want life. The other has already won.

Its not a matter of surrender. We have already lost and lost pretty bad. Its a matter of face-saving now but we won't achieve that either. We will leave that region with our faces blackened. History books won't be very kind to us.
