The only people who will line up for that phone on the first day are the same who now glue faux jewels to their Sidekick.
The line between hippy protester and American industrialist fat-cat shrinks just a little more.

The first hippies in my company to own anything Apple were a granola-eating yet remarkably cynical 20-year old Help Desk tech, followed very closely thereafter by our board Chairman, the CFO, the CIO, myself, and now the entire family of the company's ownership.
Yeah, the line is kind of, well, non-existent anymore. VP's riding harleys, college-bound teenage malcontents tapping away at iBooks, with iPods blasting away in their ears. Same crowd.
One of the main downfalls I have read about is that the phone is for AT&T only and from reviews I have read AT&T sucks large.
I will admit the phone looks cool but I would also never buy a first generation anything and I would never pay $500 for a phone.

Soooo.....no AT&T up there in the tech-savvy corn belt? Are there lots of farmers who were thinking "You know, this miserable ride up and down endless rows of a corn sea would be a lot more tolerable if I had an iPhone....but it uses AT&T, so fuck it. I'll just pop in another John Denver 8-track and see how many times I can whack it before I'm in eyeshot of the homestead"???!?!?
