^ ^ ^ Sorta...it's where you can find a friendly Apple store. It's humorous to me where Apple thinks there's oil to be found. Tulsa gets a store, but the entire "Deliverance Belt" gets a big Cupertino F YOU.
That said, I can only attribtue Apple opening stores to two things - 1) huge margins, and 2) they already re-sell a bunch of different ways; the store is a value-add thing for owners to get the velvet glove treatment.
Stores are historically a good way to make a small fortune out of a large fortune. CompuAdd...ComputerLand...Gateway...even Dell's kiosks are reminiscent of these lessons. Hopefully Apple won't break itself by opening new wounds out of which to bleed money - I doubt the sell a lot of walk-up computers, but then again, I wasn't sold on Mac until I used one......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
And yes, we have a Starbucks here too. They're growing like genital warts - plentiful, ugly, and always receiving someone's attention.
Oh, and we have Krispy Kreme.
I have a new thread idea.
