Again proving that many on the right don’t read, this subject has been chatted about on BWOT since early yesterday in another thread.

Which says a lot about BWOT but adds nothing useful to the conversation concerning the political leanings of the people who are supposed to provide objective information to the electorate.

Let's all guess how many news reporters are objectively reporting the Iraq adventure?

Anybody?

Are you suggesting that objective reporting and contributing to a political party are mutually exclusive? For example (strictly hypothetical), reporter notices that the GOP VP goes around shooting lawyers every chance he gets. GOP President pardons him each time, and is lauded by GOP Congress for doing so. Reporter then donates to Dem presidential candidate, based upon these observations, and since he is attending night school to obtain his law degree.

Now that's some silly sh*t, GS. Why not look at this list ( http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19113455/ ) and imagine how the news would be affected if only say, 2% of the donors bias their reporting based on their donations.

Now imagine what it would be like if the percentage of biased reporters were unknown but the only indications we have of bias are #1 Several studies of bias in American journalism in the past 7 years and #2 a list of reporters including their political donations.

Finally, imagine that all of the sources point to the same bias. Do you believe that is possible? Would a consistent bias in reporting that overwhelmingly favors a particular political perspective affect the perceptions of the voters?

We could always ask Rupert Murdock and the rest of the predominantly right-wing media outlet owners.

At what point in their lives did they become biased? Did their bias motivate their career choice? Did their career choice motivate their bias? Is bias better or worse than disinterest?

Has Murdoch ordered reporters to bias stories?

Have you ever heard of reporters suggesting that owners have biased reporting of the media?

Why not look at this list ( List of journalists taking sides - Politics - MSNBC.com )

And then answer the questions I posed.

Yes I have. Has Murdoch ordered a bias or is this an opinion of bias on your part?

Now answer my other questions.

It is my opinion that Murdoch has ordered a severe bias, yes, and to a much greater extent than I had previously thought possible in our country. This is all obvious, isn't it?
