The concept of "freedom" is diametrically juxtaposed to that of "occupied". Yes, Iraq will be free, just like Japan and E. Germany post WWII. Seems our heroic president and his heroic administration want to free Iran now too. Those folks are sure lucky we know what's good for them.
You may want to try a little reading. Several of the countries you mention have been savagely affected by occupation, including S. Korea, Japan, Italy, Germany and others. Some invited these occupations by virtue of ill deeds, some were simply conquered, like Iraq. The Philippines, who tossed us out completely, recently allowed a small U.S. force in to combat terrorism in 2002. When they order us out, we will be forced to leave again. And yes, Japan is still under the thumb of an occupying force, and suffering greatly from our presence there. If you doubt it, try a little research on Okinawa.
We invaded Iraq in order to establish a permanent and unwanted occupying force, not to free it. Sorry, but you simply cannot have it both ways.
