I will pm you sometime before the weekend but I will be there. I usually hang on the ridge after the long straight and into the set of turns after that but find that I move around after about an hour. I have been going to MidO for decades.

In 2002 I gave the Third Place Trophy after the ChampCar race up there in 97 degree heat [what is it with me, heat and racing?]

Ah yes, Paul Tracy was P3 if memory serves. Carpentier won that year, after boasting he would run around the track naked if he did. Best he could pull off is running around with nothing but a checkered flag on.

That was shortly after we signed Danica, she was in the Barber Dodge race that year.

PT was 4th I think, Michael Andretti was P3. It was so hot in the paddock, I was the guy holding him and Carpentier up by the epilets yelling for someone at MidO to get them some water. Everything seemed very disorganized in the awards area.

Were you at the Columbus Town Hall Meeting with Pook, Bobby and Mario where Rahal introduced Danica?

I was just re-examining your shots of the McLaren...that's quite possibly the sleekest open wheel car I've ever seen. It's almost an optical illusion at the rear, where you expect the razor back to go from the air intake down to the rear wing - that material has all been eliminated at the point (I guess) where the engine ends...you can actually see both of the wing mounts quite clearly, even from a side view like that. It looks to be a piece of aerodynamic mastery.
