That's the shot, Q. It was decidedly darked on the first page. I reluctantly agree the new digitals are better. I'm just not into snapping pics like before. And besides by Benz is a beater (albeit a classic beater!).

Nice SLK and very good shots.

I was shooting yesterday at the USGP. Got a new zoom for the Olympus E500 and tried it out.

Another roadster Benz

Very cool indeed! I'm not sure if it looked as good at the track as it did on TV, but there was one hell of a race going on at Indy. On FOX in HD, for the first time ever - totally sweet!

Yeah, I have a couple of Lenses that I can do that with but this big lense [270-800mm in 35mm equilivant] is new to me and I shot with quick shutter speeds to keep vibration and tube wobble at a minimum. I will be going to Mid Ohio for the Rolex Grand American Series at the end of the Month and by then will be working on that.

Here's some shots I took from the 2000 USGP with my old film N90s, going after the effect you're describing:

Jean Alesi in a Sauber...wow. Benneton's... I love everything about the shot of Ralf igniting the brakes on Hulman Blvd. except the STUPID catch fence.

It's amazing to see how different the body work is on the MP4/22 versus these cars from 7 years ago. The technology in F1 is absolutely mind boggling.

Good shots. It is amazing the differences. I have a habit of buying the 1/18 diecast of every winner from every race I go to and the eight F1 cars sure have changed in that period of time. And we won't even go back to the Watkins Glen winners in the 70s.
