The church should stay OUT of politics. Plain and simple, that's what the founding fathers desired.
Otherwise, they can be in a position to influence policy, too much. The religious right in the USA is a terrible example.
Who needs theocracy? Look at Saudi Arabia, Iran, and places like that. A horror
It is whoring for votes but I think of it more like going for a Union endorsement or something like that. The primary difference between the Religious Right and Religious Left is that the churches, and their parishioners on the Left have a strong tendency to NOT try and push for law that denies rights for people or that wants to curtail rights. The most that usually comes from this group is demands for EQUALITY for everyone, not just the ârightâ people [pun intended].
But big picture I prefer all church PAC out of politics.
