On a related point, saw your other post, glad to hear you guys were able to connect. Jim, you live in a pretty terrific place, I went on the tour of the state park/gold mine there, was surprised you're sitting atop roughly 350 miles of tunnels -- mostly flooded.
I wish more people could have joined us, Greg, either there or in the Bay Area.

Thanks for the compliments about Grass Valley/Nevada City.

I came there straight from SF (after 25 years in the City) a couple years ago, and man, it's sure different.

It's another world, I tell ya. There's nothing but white people here, for starters.
Good restaurants like Ti Couz,Capps Corner, Aqua, Pnom Phenh, etc? Forget it!!! They have snow and 100 deg. temps. too. Rattlesnakes in summer. Wild turkeys, deer. But not even a big bookstore, or a Nordstroms. A "Red state" mentality (In Calif. you have to go EAST, to go West.)

Oh well, at least parking is no problem

Cascade, justed wanted to let you know, that bottle of Sonoma wine you gave me got me laid. Are case lots available?

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

Congrats! What was his name?

(See now, we're paying attention...does that make up for the collective Benicia whiff?)

Diffusion is a good tactic. We're watching a master at work here, people!

Kind of like, "Look, a stick of dynamite! Let's nuke it!"

I'll agree to ask him why he was in California if you agree to answer to sodomizing a drunken 9 year old.

Try not to let any future gay KamiL references bother you.
