Man, talk about a thread that is complete bullshit. Foreign nationals have always had a right to sue in U.S. courts. They cannot, however, sit on the juries that decide the case or as judges or attorneys. So who gives a fuck.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

-President Barack Obama, 1st Inaugural address

Not exactly a nationalist sentiment. I guess there's no such thing as America anymore...or at least no such thing as citizenship? Please tell us why this case is meaningless and irrelevant, and be sure to include the reasons why there's really no such thing as illegal immigration.

The opposite of fair pay would be UNFAIR PAY. Are you suggesting that anyone who does a hard days work should get UNFAIR PAY?

Absolutely. Employers should think long and hard before breaking ANY Federal and State laws.

How will employers determine legal status of job applicants?

Let's say I want day labor to help with my lawn.

If you go to one of the many agencies that provide day labor, they would have taken care of those checks for you, including processing all bonding, tax and workmans comp issues. If, on the other hand you are going to the "known" corner to get the cash and carry guys, then you know what you are getting.

I don't want to pay a finder's fee overhead for day labor. I want to hire some guy down the street or out by the road with a, "Will work for money. God Bless" cardboard sign. Or my neighbor's kid.
