No need. That's 6 'real' responses to my original post. Much more than many threads in these boards get, wouldn't you agree? I got my responses and, after many years frequenting forums, I have definitely learned to weed the rest out.

Thanks to those that did contribute. You included, of course.

Men should not drive:

-Z3/Z4
-TT
-SLK

a new Beetle is somewhat acceptable, just make sure you remove the (standard option) flowers from the dash and replace them with a bong or a 40 oz, can of Icehouse or sumthin'.

There's nothing wrong with an SLK.

Oh, you're mad. Z3/Z4? I'll give you the convertible, but definitely not the coupes. TT? I'll give you the convertible too, but definitely not the new (Mk2) coupe. SLK? You might be right on that one. Not on a man not being able to drive one (that's BS in my book), but on them not being overly masculine looking.

[Noticing your signature...] And CLK's are manly? <-- Notice color.

Real men should not drive new cars at all. Real men repay in effort for everything an old device gives. It is but an age old expression of the balance of give and take.

Just wait a second...we can drive a New Beetle, but not an SLK?

Tell us about your childhood, TK...
