So I was reading a Cycle World magazine a while back and one of the articles featured a radial-engined bike that Jesse James had built. Pretty cool stuff, I think the guy's got some real talent to design and build. Didn't care too terribly much for the Monster Garage stuff, but his bike realm is different.
In any event the next issue of CW features of course a bunch of letters from people discussing the radial-engine beast, and some of them are pretty funny. I'm talking to a female friend of mine and telling her about the letters, and I mention Jesse James, that he built the bike. She says, "Oh, you're talking about Sandra Bullock's husband? I didn't know he built motorcycles, when did he start that?"
So I got to thinking about it, and informally when I've asked guys about Jesse James, seems like all of them know him as a gearhead, but some don't know that he is married, much less to Sandra Bullock. However, every woman I've asked knows that Sandra Bullock is married to Jesse James, but probably close to 2/3 of them have never heard of Jesse James other than as Sandra's hubby.
Just an observation, draw your own conclusions.
