Hell no. Taxes and spending ain't an exclusive purview of either half of the Republicrat Party.

Regardless of party preference, wouldn't you agree that reducing taxes is good if the revenue stream is either unaffected or increases? In this case it has increased substantially despite significant personal tax cuts. I have a difficult time embracing a downside.

Now I'm al sorts of in favor of cutting spending. I'll match dollar-for-dollar any spending cuts you think would be harmless or beneficial with a spending cut in programs that I think are superfluous. Would you agree to that?

I see the problems in Michigan as systemic: Due in large part to unions that are crippling the US auto makers and forcing them to move out of Michigan and out of the US. There are many other factors, related in large part to liberal influences in the state, that make me think the problems in Michigan (the place where I was born and grew-up) are more than just acute or chronic, but terminal. The entire rust-belt is suffering terribly, but Michigan seems to be at the heart of the disease. It breaks my heart!

I say we give away Detroit. It's whats crippling us. Where I live, taxes used to be low. Then people in Detroit started complaining, soon enough, Detroit's tax base added us into the zone.

The correct answer is not on the queston. Since our nation uses a double entry system of accounting you have to also include debits with receipts.

Please reformat your question.

Hey, If it were not for that CBO projection of an additional $200Billion Deficit for this FY and Record Trade Deficits I would be happy as a clam but I find it hard to call running $200Billion in the hole this year [his BEST economic year by the way] "working".

I also find it hard to call "working" the record trade deficit that is killing American jobs, weakening the dollar [which screws mid and small businesses] and boosting the investment in US Debt by China and India.
