My impression of Romney: POSER. But Ron Paul impressed me.

Sorry to go off topic here but G.S., would you please go to the 107 forum and do whatever needs to be done in the 'Dipstick Length' thread? I couldn't bring myself to do it. Thanks in advance.

Actually, in a thread about Republicans, "dipstick" is right on topic.

I watched Hardball yesterday and Chris Matthews, who moderated the debate the night before, never mentioned Dr. Paul once, despite the fact that the online MSNBC poll declared him the winner. It was as if the winner of the debate hadn't even participated. Very strange, I have no idea what to make of it...

I think that was universally the script of the news agencies. I watched a number of accounts of the debate and the press focussed on the the big three, Rudi, Mitt and John. Of them I think only Mitt will be around when there are primaries. I think Rudi will be the first to fall on his sword. I hope Dr. Paul has the sense to save some running for the end, like the Kentucky Derby winner today.

MSNBC.com pissed me off. There it was, on its own online poll, showing Paul first or second in every positive category. And not one word about him in the webzine articles other than to mention him as an anti-Iraq candidate. Not one word. But hang in there, he is perfect for the New Hampshire electorate. He could very well win the New Hampshire primary, and change the entire race. McCain almost toppled Bush after his NH upset in 2000, until they pulled the old "nigger baby" on him.
