Now that I live back in Kentucky it is my only VIP kick that I get. Last year Steppenwolf [with two of the Three Dog Night guys] was the band and we never know who will be the act until the lights go down.

All we know for sure is that Clooney will be here as there have already been Clooney sightings. Usually that means at least a couple more of his gang.

My wife is pissed as it means she has to get "fixed up", a concept alien to her software engineer self.

Unless it is pissing rain I will be taking pictures. Updates either Saturday morning OR Sunday, depending.

Yoseyman, I don't know if it's you or me who's lucky. There are times when my GF can drink me under the table...

Hey McBear,

I'd like to see the pics for sure! I just won't be back on here until Monday to view them, but no biggie. If it's not too much trouble, try and get one of Queen Elizabeth while you're at it

I don't think I will be allowed up on that level. You have to have tickets [$1,000 each], a special pass and get through metal detectors to get on Millionaire's Row. I might get shots of her BAE 146 if it is parked out at LEX tomorrow afternoon. She stays in Lex at Lane's End Farm where she keeps her horses when she is in the state.

If lucky, I will get drunken Clooney shots. Otherwise, I will just post what I get.

Clooney shots are okay by me. He's about as famous as any living Kentucky native with whom I am familiar. Colonel Sanders did pass on, didn't he?

Yep, the Colonel is gone. We still have Ashley Judd, Johnny Depp and a wad of Country music folks.

Sad about the Colonel though. We called CSI Waddy-Paytona.

I was the guy who supervised food production (Levy Sports & Entertainment) for the past 4 years. We had some very wild times at the Derby although initially it was the biggest pain in the ass as the buildings were so old and decrepit that it was nearly impossible for my guys to make it through the halls with their equipment. Last I heard they were in the middle of a major renovation.

As a funny aside, I've not stepped foot in this venue for three and a half years yet I'm still listed as the chef........I.T. asleep at the wheel:

I have been to some events where Levy was working. Several of the big motorsports tracks if I remember correctly.

Are you still a chef or just drive? I got to know several while in NYC that were at CIA in Pookie. Also, Lundy is here in Lex which also does many of the big events in the South.

Well I stayed at the party for 3 hours. We had two major storms that blew through, took one of the 200'x75' tents out and cancelled the outdoor concert at the baseball statium. Clooney ended up at the party that the Queen was at [surprise].

I decided to call it an early night.

I shot this from near my house on the way to the party.
The larger than normal jet spooked the horses in the paddock.

I'm kind of sorry the Professor (aka drewprof) didn't reply to the invitation to meet at the Derby. I'll be there vicariously though.

Don't believe everything you think
