Anyone that thinks that the press is liberal biased AND only picks on the Republicans needs to only go back to 1993 and start reading the New York Times, Washington Post and all those other Liberal Rags. Read the articles on Whitewater, the Arkansas Mafia, Travelgate, the Linda Bloodworth Thomason connection, Vince Foster, and a cadre of other stories that were all over the media every day for months. View CNN Archives, or that of the three Network broadcasters and you will find the same.
The point is, while the media might be biased toward liberal thought, it has not stopped any of them from going after Liberal Candidates or Liberal Administrations [remember Gary Hart and the MV Monkey Business?]. The Journalism Professional usually views their mission to represent the people, to ask the questions the people would ask if they could. They dig out the hard stuff and shine the light of day on it.
Carl Bernstein, a very strong Republican did not let his personal biases get in the way of his investigation of Nixon. The line of “Liberal reporters" that investigated, reported and produced much of Clinton’s BJ scandal did not let their personal biases get in the way of their jobs even though records show most gave to Clinton’s campaign.
Neocons [NewConfused] are just a bit confused because the folks that they view as journalists, O’really, Limbaugh, Hannity and the like are unable to remove their personal views from their reporting and the NeoCon community seems to think of this as journalism. It is not.
Being smart is knowing the difference, in a sticky situation between a well delivered anecdote and a well delivered antidote - bear.
