Other than gas prices have gone from 1.32 when Bushie came into office to 2.90 today. Seems to be outpacing inflation by just a bit don't you think?

Also, I looked at the AAA guide for Lexington which shows $2.86 for reg today [4/27] yet there is not a single station in the metro area that sells regular under $2.97 [and that number has held for the last two days]. Makes you wonder if the rest of their numbers are as accurate.

Could that chart of yours help point out how Europe just blew past the US as the largest, most robust Economy?

Thats an average number. Needless to say, thats for regular. I don't use burn regular in ANY of my car. I use high octane. I can care less what the regular is sold for.

Regular is the default cost comparison measure for all gas prices world-wide.

As I said, I don't give a rat's arse about the price on regular. I only care what hurts my pocket.

Perhaps you missed my post above (#50) where I point out that "...the weak dollar has been a good thing. The main reason multinational companies are beating revenue estimates this quarter is the weaker U.S. dollar. And that is what has helped drive the DJA over 13,000! There are, of course, always some trade-offs, but overall things could not be much better than they are right now, IMO and that of most experts."

You might want to read a little primer on "the weak dollar..." Does the Weak Dollar Help US Small Businesses? » Small Business Trends
