If you don't think your business would be positively affected by raising folks out of poverty and everyone having a living wage [and working for it, not give away] then I am not sure you understand basic Economics.

I am not suggesting Government giveaways, my writings show me to be a fiscal conservative but then again there are social programs that are required to provide basic services for so many people who are NOT paid a living wage that, until they are paid that kind of responsible wage, our Government has a responsibility to address those needs.

Society is only as good as it treats those that have the least among us.
He sounds like some kid. Maybe its a lemonade stand.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

You are essentially ignorant. It is people like you who have wrecked the modern Republican Party, where being ignorant and able to tow a party line now has the greatest value to its members. There was a time when the Republicans I knew who were businessmen had a core belief that sound management practices and tight fisted management of the nation's finances would benefit the most people. They truly believed in the Free Enterprise system, and I often voted for them. Sadly, as leaders in the Republican Party, they are gone now, purged by the Bushites. We have had twelve years of the worst management from the most spendthrift Congress we ever had, and a President whose base is the country's chumps and suckers. You claim to "call people out". Well, let me call you out: what happened to you people? You ran up ruinous debts. You flooded the country with cheap illegal labor and now claim it is the illegals fault that the employers, probably 100% Republicans, invited them here and paid no penalty for the money they made off of them. Your party took this country into a war that has damaged the hell of out this country. All of these are counter to what I would call the real Republican values of the old days. Eishenhowser would have thrown Karl Rove in prison for outing a CIA agent. Nixon, for all his faults, would have never have claimed not talking to our enemies was a smart thing to do. Gerald Ford would have been appalled at passing out tax cuts based on borrowed money. Reagan certainly never would have created the largest expansion of the Welfare State, the Bush Prescription Drug Bill. Reagan also would have been aghast at the utter viciousness and divisiveness of the AM Radio Fascists that apparently direct much of your thinking, and would have never gone near the utopian pipe dream bullshit of making a Middle Eastern country a Jeffersonian democracy, at least not at taxpayer expense. Reagan certainly would have never left Bin Laden running around, he would have had Osama's balls in a jar on his desk by now. What happened?
Jesus, paragraphs FTL, now my head hurts.

Look at the other thread, where he is posting something about driving Ferraris in Europe and asking our advice. It seems more like some bullshitter dumping his heave on us.

Actually I did take it seriously and responded.

The question about the countries driving on the left side put a little doubt in my mind..

But then I thought oh well, another "real American" is going to Europe..

So I responded.

My bad.
