Murdoch Defends The President

Murdoch plays politics at Milken event

By Paul Bond
April 25, 2007

Rupert Murdoch wore his politics on his sleeve Tuesday, telling a large audience of business leaders that the press is routinely unfair to George W. Bush and that the president doesn't seem capable of defending himself.

"I'm a supporter of President Bush, but I do believe he's a bad -- or inadequate -- communicator," Murdoch told attendees at the Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles.

The News Corp. chairman and CEO said that, personally, Bush is "persuasive, strong and articulate" but that "he seems to freeze whenever a television camera appears."

He freezes in front of TV cameras because he is full of shit and he knows it. Anyone can talk behind closed doors and appear intelligent to the people who agree with him but once under "scrutiny" from a wider audience, he knows the game is different. He knows that he is hiding the truth on many levels so yeah no wonder he can't even "look" as intelligent under all those lenses.

Rupert Murdoch should be deported back to Australia. He became a citizen for the sole purpose of qualifying to own a US TV station. While Jaybaugh might find giving up one's citizenship to make more money reasonable, I find the idea repugnant. So, based on his history, I think his politics are as suspect as his allegiance to the United States, or his birth nation, Australia. Jim

I had to look twice at his post, i thought he was referring to Soros. The background on the two are similar but Murdoch has done great things with his influence and his money has created very popular entertainment and informative medias.. I really cant say the same for Soros, is anyone really interested in Moveon.org?
