Gas pressure washer suggestions.

Well, I'm finally getting around to cleaning up my parents' cabin. They passed away recently and I need to power wash their deck and dock area. I'm thinking of a decent but not too expensive gas washer. Can anyone suggest one? I've been checking out info on the web and have lots of info, but personal recommendations have more weight. Thanks.

I have a Honda 5.0 I think, it's great. Make sure you get as much extension hose you can get, it's worth the mobility.

Man, gas is $3.00 a gallon! Wouldn't it be cheaper to pressure wash with water?

I was gonna crack wise until I saw the parents bit. Sorry for your loss.

Just wanted to say DON'T BUY AN ELECTRIC ONE!!! I bought it because I used it to clean an indoor kitchen and didn't want fumes but it's not powerfull enough. You could also just rent a really good one if it's just for this task.

All jokes aside, if it's mildew and algae build-up you want to get rid of, use a garden sprayer with 50% Greased Lightning and 50% water. Pump up the pressure and spray it down in sections. Let it set and then hose off. You'll only need a pressure washer if it's rough concrete but this will work great on wood or vinyl.

True dat, but a power washer is a great investment. I paid mine off by cleaning all of my rich neighbors decks and stuff.
Again get a long extension for indoor jobs so you won't have to shlep that thing in.

Here is why I bought mine. Before I painted my house's exterior I had three quotes and the cheapest was for $1200. I went I got one for $400 and after three days I was done. That same summer I did like ten decks but by the third one the toy was paid off. Besides it's a fun toy, try it on the car, it will clean it real good with the nozzle set on kill

I was thinking gas all the way.I was told electric didn't have enough power. I was considering a used one on cl. It was about $200 but I don't know what condition it is in. the guy said it was 1 1/2 years old and he paid about $450 for it (yeah right). It actually has a 50' hose. Gonna check it out tomorrow.

That's about right. A decent gas powered one is in the $500-$650 range.
