I think Election08 is the new Viagra for those guys.

After my little outburst at last years meeting where I somewhat loudly commented that I didn’t understand why CNN needed the digital newsroom we designed and implemented for them since they had dumbed down their news to compete directly with Fox they chose not to renew my contract. Oops. So this year I was less involved in the news side of the biz and hunted down a different contract. It should actually be better but will keep me out of some of the news loops.
I'll be surprised if the Iman doesn't have a new gig before the end of this year--unless he decides to retire to his NM ranch permantly. You were in on the design of that new and unimproved CNN newsroom? (Can you say "Situation Room?") They didn't dumb down the news--they hyped it up--thinking that could help them catch a fair & balanced version of honest news. What a bunch of idiots! You are better off... If you weren't so damn biased you might be able to land a job w/ FOX. I'd put in a good word for you...

You way over-characterize the conclusions of the Baker-Hamilton Report! They said absolutely nothing that would give aid or comfort to our enemies--as Harry and the other terrorists have done.

No, I did the Digitial Newsroom for CNN before Situation Room. What my project did was allow all feeds, whether local or far remote to go straight to digital with associated data that allowed dynamic searching of all CNN video from live to archive. It allowed editors, producers or on air to pull up and manipulate on the fly and to gather multi source.

It went live 9/1/01 with the only technology like that in the world. Fortunately we still had our test servers up and running 10 days later as we needed both production and test equipment to handle all the switching that was required for the month after 9/11.

I decided to semi-retire 10/15 and left NYC.

Be nice if you'd actually define the difference then. Have you even read the Iraq report?

"No military solution"

More admissions from the right....

REID ECHOES KISSINGER, MILITARY OFFICIALS: Reid's description of the war is shared by one of President Bush's own regular war advisers, Henry Kissinger. Kissinger said last month that "the problems in Iraq are more complex than [Vietnam], and military victory is no longer possible." Reid's remarks also echo senior military officials. Retired Gen. William Odom, head of Army intelligence and director of the National Security Agency under Ronald Reagan, published an essay in February titled "Victory Is Not An Option." Retired Gen. Tony McPeak, who served on the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the first Gulf War, told Rolling Stone magazine last month, "Even if we had a million men to go in, it's too late now. ... Humpty Dumpty can't be put back together again."

Are you so dull that you can honestly say that James Baker and Lee Hamilton carry the same weight as a statement from the leader of the Senate?

Are you so dull that you can honestly say they don't? For god's sake, they met with Bush, and Bush actually said he would consider their suggestions, which is more than he has granted Reid. You have no ground to stand on.
