For the politically inclined...Sr Political Advisor?

What does a Senior Political Advisor do exactly? What type of job is it and do they do pretty well?
Me, I'm not to familiar with the political careers, if even politics for that matter. Anyway..I thought you guys would be the best crowd to ask while I'm on here

An over-paid consultant for some lamo-candidate who doesn't have any set opinions or deeply held moral/ethical convictions. Word is, political "advisors" are incapable of maintaining an erection. Steer clear of these charlatans.

It's mostly a ceremonial title for someone who doesn't have what it takes to run for political office himself. New boyfriend? Tell us more...

Don't believe everything you think

I'm sure Mr. Nader will miss you terribly in the months to come.

OK, let's give this a try.

Senior = old
Political = opinionated
Advisor = big-mouth

Hope that helps.
