A little academic dishonesty there, Mr. Cigar? Why not just cut and paste word by word into whatever you like?

It is also unfortunate that we can no longer trust sources such as yours, an agency that is part of the US Department of Commerce. My guess, and this is not wild speculation as we have seen it over and over again in the Bush Administration, is that there is little scientific objectivity in anything they have to offer, and that if anyone on their staff tried to provide it, they would be summarily fired.
Okay then, full disclosure.

The future monitoring of atmospheric processes involving water vapor will be critical to fully understand the feedbacks in the climate system leading to global climate change. As yet, though the basics of the hydrological cycle are fairly well understood, we have very little comprehension of the complexity of the feedback loops. Also, while we have good atmospheric measurements of other key greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane, we have poor measurements of global water vapor, so it is not certain by how much atmospheric concentrations have risen in recent decades or centuries, though satellite measurements, combined with balloon data and some in-situ ground measurements indicate generally positive trends in global water vapor.
Cliff Notes version: Global Warming isn't all about CO2. We don't know what it's all about. We're gonna work on it, and get back to y'all when we have something. You may continue planning for the apocalypse, if it makes you feel better, but this may all be nothing.

"Global Warming isn't all about CO2". That is the first concise smart thing you have posted on the subject of Climate Change issues. Way to catch up.

"We're gonna work on it, and get back to y'all when we have something." Would this be the mini team of Inhofe's Faith Based Obfuscators? So far the only thing your group of ‘We” has done has been an Exxon funded attempt to cloud [pun intended] the issue.

I was hoping that it was Dan Rather and his CBS crew. Now there is a group that knows how to tell the truth.

Masturbator? Wanker is such a natural word for a Londoner, I'm surprised it's not the first thing we ever learn to utter.

Edit: I was actually born in Kent, only about 2 miles from the London boundary though.

By the way, "Planet Earth" - a British masterpiece I'm sure you will all agree.

He may be the most effective troll I've ever witnessed. He does not flame or engage in personal attacks, yet attracts more negative response than I would have ever thought possible. Wanker or no, he is a master of his craft.

No..."we" refers to the army of scientists who continue to work diligently through the media and politicians, undeterred or distracted, toward understanding what the myriad of knobs and switches we've created actually do to our planet. Because it's this 'silent majority' of scientists who've exercised restraint, held off on making predictions based on a scant understanding of a topic, and continue to challenge & question themselves who will ultimately produce real, meaningful, concise explanations of the cause & effect relationships at play with regard to our climate.

Is that the same majority from the Moral Majority, which was neither.

Nice try though. You and Jayhawk certainly have the Fighting Obfuscator’s mantra down pat. But you need to work in the word “Goracle” to really get the rhythm flowing.

Let us know when that Army of Exxon funded “scientists" actually have a breakthrough. So far all they have done is publish fuzzy faith based pseudo techno-babble with the goal of protecting corporate profits. And we wouldn’t want Inhofe to lose his major source of speech writers and funding if Exxon were to have to tighten the ol’ belt would we.

And while waiting on concise explanations - Rome Burns. Heck of a job.

Most of the EXXON/Mobile funded scientists working on pollution aspects of petroleum-based fuels are largely onboard with the whole global warming thing. Sometimes they publish, in peer reviewed journals, results that counter company policy. This has caused a gradual shift in EXXON/Mobile policy. That company is pouring large amounts of money into research in order to lower emmissions and to help determine the degree to which anthropogenic greenhouse gases are impacting the GCC.

It's a red herring to assert that company-funded scientists are crooked just as it is a red herring to assert that government-funded scientists are the keepers of truth.
