Seeking some opinions/insight

So I'm in an office supply store today, standing pretty much just inside the entrance while waiting for a salesperson to check stock on something.

In walks a young woman, probably late 20s, average height, average looks, shoulder-length light brown hair in a hairstyle that's a bit dated (not judging, just reporting facts). She's wearing a salmon-colored short-sleeved blouse, and the chief reason she draws my attention is that she is wearing a 4-inch white button above her left breast on which are large black letters, all caps: RESPECT.

So I couldn't figure out whether she was making a political statement, was a fan of Aretha Franklin, was advertising for something ("Excuse me, what does your button mean?" "Well, if you have your own AMWAY business you deserve respect, let me show you how it works...") or whether she was just a _________________ (you fill in the blank).

(Should you actually know what the RESPECT button thing is all about, please chime in.)

And yes, it's occurred to me that by posting this I might not be giving her the respect she's demanding, but pinning a button on doesn't really achieve that, does it? After all, generally speaking, respect is something that is to a great degree earned.

Your opinions, please.

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. (Winston Churchill)

You should have muttered "dumb cunt" within earshot, just to see her reaction... A conversation regarding the meaning of the button would have likely ensued.

So you're the guy that stops right after walking in the door making everyone behind you stop.
