Perhaps dorfman24 will be so kind as to produce this mysterious UN Resolution, of which no one else is apparently aware.

Bad comparison. But I can understand you try as it has been tried by various people here before.

Is our involvement in Bosnia really beneficial to the U.S.? You may want to answer that.

They returned the hostages when Reagan took his oath of office. What excuse did we have to stand on some pedestal of our own making and preach to them instead of figuring out how to deal with them as a powerful nation in the Middle East, that can interfere with or support our interests for the next several decades?

It's a completely valid comparison - a U.N. resolution authorized the U.S. and NATO to intervene in Bosnia. And so did a U.N. resolution authorize the U.S. to act against Iraq.

But whether Bosnia was beneficial to the U.S. or not (and many argue that the only reason the U.S. should use force is when it is for humanitarian purposes, like Bosnia or Darfur) it was legal and was the result of century-old tribal and ethnic rivalries which you use to both question my right to hold the opinions I hold and to excuse Iranian behavior.

Oh, good. They returned the hostages. No problem.

No one chased Blix out. In March of 2003 Blix issued a report to the U.N in which he stated "Iraq, with a highly developed administrative system, should be able to provide more documentary evidence about its proscribed weapons programmes. Only a few new such documents have come to light so far and been handed over since we began inspections"
