Prius more harmful than a Hummer

Yup, it's true, not in emissions but in other ways. Looks like Toyota wasn't as green as it was made out to be.

Great article. In one piece we can see a failure in the American Education system [writer can't construct an article], a failure of Critical Thinking [Dust to Dust has been blown away as a source of fuzzy and false math since the day its "study" first came to light] and a failure of simple Economics [end user comparison buying $30K Prius vs $50K Hummer].

Only piece of the article that is correct is the nickel facility in Ontario which was in production decades before Hybrids came on the horizon [or is that Omni?] yet article leads one to believe it was mined purely for the benefit of the Hybrid car industry.

I've had a hummer. Harmless and enjoyable.

What is this Prius you speak of?
Is it described in "Wuthering Heights", or other unacceptably lude and demeaning literature?

Just 28% of Americans would fall into that category

Dunno but it sounds alot like Priapism so I guess you can drive it hard for 4 hours, then you gotta call the doctor.

Footnote:

"The Toyota Prius has become the flagship car for those in our society so environmentally conscious that they are willing to spend a premium to show the world how much they care. Unfortunately for them, their ultimate ‘green car’ is the source of some of the worst pollution in North America; it takes more combined energy per Prius to produce than a Hummer.
Before we delve into the seedy underworld of hybrids, you must first understand how a hybrid works. For this, we will use the most popular hybrid on the market, the Toyota Prius."

This fellow appears genuinely upset at the fact that someone is trying to provide a vehicle that doesn't shit all over the highway like the Hummer. What's the word for payola as it pertains to writers?

White House staff payroll check comes to mind. But really, calling the guy a 'writer' suggests a profession.

The Pious is the worst contributor to the smug problem in the SF Bay area. That is a fact.
