Time to break up

OK gang, I turn to the best in twisted minds for advice for the proper way to break up with a nice girl. Yeah, I've perfected the "it's not you, it's me" story. Fact is, I just don't want to be tied down right now. She's nice, smart and cute but her kids are getting way too attached. I like the little rug rats, but I don't want to screw up their lives too.

We've "dated" for three months. She's 28, I'm a young 52, I gotta bail soon after our week long trip to Aruba in two weeks. Deposits and tickets are done, hot sex will ensue, then it's sayanora. Chilly, Shane, TK, whoever, flog me good but give me some good advice. Do I have to do this in person? Phone OK? I wouldn't text or email, good God I'm old fashioned. Do I 86 Aruba? Do I have a conscience??

Does anyone care anyway?

I can't even conceive of having someone tag along in Aruba that I just want to dump. You lost me right there......

Yeah, really.

And, you'd be a total ass to take this chick on a vacay and then give her the boot after. Dump her and find someone else to tag and bag* in Aruba.

*There's a very tasteless joke about that Holloway girl there, but I ain't sayin' it.

If the kids are cute, I may have a buyer in the Czech Republic. This would eliminate the separation anxiety, give you the opportunity to go fuck-wild on momma and give you both something to fold and put in your pockets. Holla.

IF you are for real, and seriously plan to dump her, do her, her kids, and yourself a big favor and do it NOW! Sit down w/ her--face to face--and explain yourself and your intentions, and, if possible, why you are going to do what you're going to do. Make it fast and clean, and don't waffle, if you are serious. But if there is any wiggle-room in your thinking be prepared for some serious negotiations. Think it through carefully yourself before breaking the news to her, but you should make a commitment to do what you are going to do.

Don't believe everything you think

I will strongly urge you, make that STRONGLY URGE you N O T to do the breakup in Aruba, no matter how many little umbrella drinks the two of you have had or how right it feels at that moment. Unless you plan on changing ALL of your travel plans the airplane ride home will be worse than your very favorite colonoscopy done without benefit of anesthetics in a gay biker bar.

Amen on that one, why the hell do you have to break up? Why do you think that thought is normal or even needed? I am probably not the guy to ask since I am a stick in the mud and love reliability and devotion in close relationships.
