Someone tried to break into my house last night!!!!!
Well I was asleep at about 10:15 pm when I awoke to someone knocking at my door. Now I live just outside of miami, in a decent area, but I still dont answer the door for safety reasons. unless it is during the day. anyway I looked through the peep hole and saw a girl knocking on my door and the neighboors door continuosly. after about a minute she started walking away back toward the parking lot. well i still stood at the door for about as minute, but the next thing I heard was a loud bang at the back sliding glass door of my home. Since I have no real in home protection, I yelled "hey" and looked out my window and saw a young black guy waling away and get into a car and drive off. I quickly called police and gave them the description of the car and everything.
well 5 minutes later police arrived at my house and noticed a few marks on the back door where someone tried to get in. at the same time they were notified that they had pulled over a car right down the street with 2 males and a female inside that exactly fit my description. the officer asked if I could identify them and I said yes. the officer took me to where about 4 police cars had pulled over this car and as I knew, it was the same car and same girl and guy I saw.
Apparently the officer later told me as she was getting a statement from me that they had found numerous amounts of stolen property in the car, tvs, steroes and womens purses along with a handgun. I am glad I didnt try to go outside and try anything.
Crime scene even came to my house to take photos of the back door and everything. I am still a bit shooken up by it, this has never happened before. I am trying to get ahold of brinks or ADT today to see about an alarm system.
just thought I would share this. oh and BTW if you have a current security system, let me know what company you have and if there is contracts or anything?
