For maize oil I used to travel South to the region around Ancona (on the heel). One of my Aunt's has been living in Firenze for 40 years. Don't miss the Uffizi, or the other Medici buildings.

I'll be there the latter half of May - Venice and Rome (with a little side trip to Austria & Slovenia). I surprised my wife with a whirlwind one week trip there a couple of years ago - she thought we were going to Mexico. Before we went I thought "I'm more of a Germany/Central Europe kind of guy." But I absolutely loved the place. If you haven't been there beofre, Greg, I think you'll love it. I, too, would be interested if there were any Italians on this forum - as opposed to Romans in the Forum!
