Hybrid technology is a very good bridge. It may only be around for 20 years or so but in that time three things can happen. First, much less gas will be consumed and that is just good all the way around [environmentally, politically, economically] but further, it will technology forward, away from the 100 year old ICE/gasoline model and third will showcase alternatives to folks who can't seem to shift their brain away from the original design paradigm [actually second paradigm, the first was biodiesel].
Now, I am off to wait at the airport for three hours to get home.
