It's almost akin to living in Australia and asking about March Madness or Nascar in Malaysia.

Try following MLB spring training and the regular season. You've got a couple of teams nearby you can follow. It's like cricket for people with Attention Deficit Disorder. The biggest difference is that, in baseball, innings actually come to an end. Yeah, we get about 9 of them in a span of 3 hours. Neat stuff.

Different strokes for different folks.

I'll add that with the evolution of ODI and Twenty20 cricket, there's perhaps a style of the game for every level of sporting attention span.
