what do you wonder about?

Well i made a thread a few days ago asking why people drink decaff coffee, but there are so many things I wonder about. so what do you wonder about? I will go first

I wonder why walmart has 40 some cash registers, yet during the busiest saturdays and sundays, only 8 or 9 registers are open and each one is packed?

I wonder how UPS, USPS, fedex, etc... can get each item of mail to its destination in only a few days, how does that work.

I wonder how a pool table knows when a regular ball vs a cue ball gets hit in the pocket. the cue ball comes back yet the regular ball goes in the table untill a new game is started.

there is more, but I am blank right now.

oh yea I still wonder why people drink decaff coffee????????

I thought carpool lanes were supposed to encourage fewer cars on the road.

I wonder why one person in a hybrid car can drive in the "carpool" lane. They get better mileage when they are in traffic. Shouldn't we let SUVs drive in the lane so they don't have to be stuck in traffic? That would save more fuel.

Or for that matter why a mom and three young kids can use the lane.

Are we keeping the kids from driving their own cars and creating more traffic? Since when do 8 year olds drive cars?

A it makes the store look busy when there are lineups so people shop longer waiting .

I wonder how UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc... can get each item of mail to its destination in only a few days, how does that work.
A they all have hubs in north America all the packages go there get sorted and get flown back to they're destination .

I wonder how a pool table knows when a regular ball vs a cue ball gets hit in the pocket. the cue ball comes back yet the regular ball goes in the table until a new game is started.

A the q ball is either, over sized(valley pool table) , weighted slightly heavier and the table weighs the balls thus returning the heavier ones(dymo pool table)

there is more, but I am blank right now.

A they are idiots

i will be happy to answer any other questions.

Real magic is when you put iced tea in a Thermos flask it keeps it cold, but when you fill with hot tea it keeps it warm. How does it know?

The fed ex one reminds me of something I heard a long time ago. I don't know if they still do it this way, but if so it's even more amazing. At the time their main distribution facility was Memphis (if I recall correctly). So if someone in downtown Phoenix drops an overnight package bound for Tempe (roughly 15 miles away) into the bin before the last pickup, say 4:45 in the evening, Fed ex local picks up and it goes on a fedex plane from Sky Harbor to Memphis where it's sorted, then flown back to Sky Harbor, then to a fed ex facility, then loaded on a truck, and the next morning delivered in Tempe.

And they do all that for what, $20?

So how come it costs me $340 for a roundtrip to Memphis?

I wonder how a country as noble as the USA could elect (twice) a man like W.
