Clinton was the victim of a perjury trap. He lied because he was afraid of his wife. Do you blame him?

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

-President Barack Obama, 1st Inaugural address

Now that we have established that they both enjoy women's mouths on their genitals, how about we try debating what Newt's political philosophy is versus that of Hillary Rodham-Clinton.

So lying to a Federal Grand jury is not a crime. Right?

He was outed in 1998 for oral sex with Anne Manning in 1977. Here is Manning's statement:

"We had oral sex," Manning revealed. "He prefers that modus operandi because then he can say, 'I never slept with her.'" She added that Gingrich threatened her: "If you ever tell anybody about this, I'll say you're lying."

The article that contained this statement was published on August 28, 1998, nearly 10 years ago!! He originally denied it and then, resigned after admitting to immorality, which was contrary to God's law.
The difference? He didn't lie to a federal grand jury!
For the record: I don't care for Newt. I'm not defending him. I'm merely pointing out your own hypocrisy.

Because his wife knew the pattern – she married him after their affair caused him to divorce his first wife.

Almost NOONE goes to prison for lying to a grand jury unless there are other charges that can't be prosecuted and that is the only way to get someone behind bars.

Most of us are fully aware why Clinton was impeached. The question was, why was a BJ enough to get him to a Grand Jury? And if a BJ was enough, the Speaker was guilty of the same offense [sex with someone in his management chain] and should have been investigated by a similar Grand Jury.
