The next thing we are going to see is congressional investigations on the Niger yellowcake claim, a treasonous, vicious lie used to justify the mass murder of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi nationals by neo-con fascists.

The questions the conservatives on this forum need to answer is this: if Libby, one of the key architects of the Iraqi War propaganda rationales lied here, why would one think that he and his boss Cheney were not lying about everything? From the obvious answer to that, the next logical conclusion is that the justifications for the War in Iraq were fabricated in order to con this country and its Congress into a war. Which brings up another interesting question: can the President pardon someone who is part of the same criminal conspiracy the President himself is a party too? Did the Founders intend that the President could use pardons to further his own lawlessness?

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

-President Barack Obama, 1st Inaugural address

Our current Republican Governor's Administration has been going through an investigation this past couple of years and the first thing the Gov did when indictments were handed out was to provide blanket pardons. It destroyed all credibility he had and has made his last couple of years ZERO. He should be heading into the primaries for his second term without opposition, instead he has THREE contenders lined up against him, just for the Republican primary in May.

If Bush pulls a quick pardon it will further cripple him within the party as it will damage the Republicans in 08 and he can't let that happen. IF he does a pardon, it will have to be a "Scoot" out the back door pardon on the way out, ala Marc Rich.

Here are your traitors who confirmed that Iraq was seeking uranium:

Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV)

Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI)

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA)

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR)

Sen. Richard Durbin (D-IL)

Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN)

Sen. John Edwards (D-NC)

Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-MD)

Your last shred of credibility just disappeared.

Actually that list confirmed the intel they were given, or spoonfed, depending on the political slant. They did NOT confirm that IRAQ was seeking Uranium, though Iraq and many other countries may have been.

So they were either given the best appraisal available, in which case the were merely wrong, or they were so stupid as to blindly accept the word of people whom the do not trust on an issue that they did not believe in and voted in favor of a mission of which they do not approve.

Whoa.

You are so full of shit!
Did these people see the uranium for themselves? The answe is NO, they were told about it by "credible" sources within our government. We now know how credible these sources were. Why don't you bring up who these sources were? Why don't you bring up who wanted this information "to be true" even if made up?
This is going to get more intersting as your heros are turning into criminals

They confirmed thAt THE BEST INFORMATION AVAILABLE INDICATED THAT IRAQ WAS SEEKING URANIUM AND THAT WILSON WAS AN IDIOT AND WAS WRONG.

They confirmed that they believed Iraq was seeking Uranium based upon Iraq's actions.

You apparently have chosen to not read the 9-11 report or the Annenberg analysis.

Read the reports and you will see how silly your questions are.

I am not in a position to convince you that man landed on the moon or that there is even a place called Iraq.
