She spent enough time in Arkansas to earn her own Southern accent. Note that Kentucky is a border state and most of the South does not consider Kentucky accents Southern, though damned if i can figure out what where we fit in the accent pie. Scholars seem to think the Eastern Kentucky dialect is closest to Scot Irish of the 1800’s. Apparently we donne get out much.
