Anyone do the switch largescale?
I was not impressed with the quality of CFL's sold by Home Depot - cast a nasty green tint over everything else. That was 4 years ago and they were generic made in China crap. Perhaps things are different with Phillips bulbs.

I'd recommend Sylvania - especially their 3500K daylight CFL bulbs. If there is a Lowe's nearby, go there instead of crappy Home Depot.

I don't know what percentage of entire lighting 8 bulbs translate to, but you will start to see differences in your bills once over 2/3 of the entire bulbs at home are replaced.

Pulsating? Did you screw the bulb in all the way or are you one of those people who tend to see purple halo when watching DLP TV?

all my bulbs are from IKEA and they work like a charm. they do tend to take a minute to get to full strength in outdoor situations but i don't care. saving? i don't know.. my bills are never that hight anyway. i'm a frugal mofo anyway.
