No, the military is controlled by Congress hence the PEOPLE of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA not the generals and His Excellency the Grand Dictator Bush the Second.
Those criminal elements you speak of were in check under Saddam, does that mean he did a better job at that than us? My guess is YES!
They deserved him as much as they hate our presence now, get that through your mind and use your smarts to support the right thing rather than justifying our mistakes.
The point is that we were wrong attacking Iraq either there was a Saddam in it or not, we did it for the wrong reasons and now we are ALL paying for it. The neocon that got us over in Iraq had two main objectives; one which was tottaly off the mark was supposed to help Israel remove a threat which was not there. The next objective was oil and up to this day we have not secured ourselves a solid long term contract with the Iraqis because we are playing political correctness over who should control the oil. Just go the pump and see how much you are paying today, where is the supply that could have ket prices at least to pre-war level minus inflation of course? Badbenz just admit that we made a big mistake and you will feel better, come on leap to the dark side once in your lifetime we wont tell your friends at your next GOP Youth "Meating"

The level of self-delusion here is truly astonishing! Congress does not, should not and will not ever control the military. The military has only one commander-and-chief, and that is the President of the United States. al.com: Everything Alabama

We went into Iraq for perfectly good and valid reasons, and the reasons to finish the job are even better today than they were four years ago.

Don't believe everything you think

Then watch and learn when it inevitably comes to a head.

I will be watching--along w/ al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, the Taliban and our other enemies, as well as our allies around the world, and members of the US military, living and dead, who's lives will have been lost for nothing if you and the other cowardly enemies of the US have your way.

You are so gullible... After all these years that BS shows up in the drive-by media! You are dumber than even I thought you were "professor." I'm more likely to believe you are a professor than that so called "smoking gun!" And we both know you are NOT a professor! Get a grip!!

I've got a bridge I'd like to get a mortgage on...

Don't believe everything you think
