I'll definitely post pics as soon as I get them washed again ($86 fricken bucks at Blue Beacon)
Roch, I'm dealing with uber-rednecks out here. The fact of the matter is I can outrun many Peterbilt and Kenworths (without the Caterpillar engines) and they hate it. Very few southern-based companies use Volvo but in my opinion, it is the best all around tractor. Look at a pre 2000 Kenworth or Peterbilt. The front end looks like the wall of China. A huge honking air grabber which translates to larger fuel consumption. Now look at the 2001 and up models of these trucks. They have copied the Volvo style completely.

They have a Mercedes-Benz emblem on the fenders that looks soooooo sweet, I want to snag it every time.

btw, they have the distinct MB diesel sound, just like the cars, but louder.

Some coincidence: Jilly, I know you know little Anne addressed her diary as "Dear Kitty."

I missed this post.
Weigh stations are the scariest. They can find discrepancies(imagine that) inn your log book and fine you thousands, or make you park the truck for 24 hours. I had some extremely obese woman run out of the chicken shack in Nebraska and yell at me to come in with my log book. I turned on the TK charm and weaseled out, c'mon?

Hey TK, a couple of the hauliers I used in Turkey would only run Mack trucks, despite at the time the huge extra expense over European rigs. Are they still the daddy?
