He paid Bill (contributed to the campaign). He didn't do what he wanted (free a convicted murderer). So, he started contributing to a different campaign.

Oh yea, PEGGED!

I think his actually statement went something like this: They (the Clintons) lie with such ease, it comes natural to them. Yes I do believe "pegged" is the right word.

Edit: Sorry, I looked it up, here is the actual quote: "Everybody in politics lies, but (the Clintons) do it with such ease, it's troubling." He said a lot more that was derogatory specifically to Hillary Clinton, but that's the key statement, since Geffen is obviously referring to both Clintons. After all, it was Hillary who enabled Bill's lies time and again. Now, America is being told -- and by a former Clinton benefactor, no less -- that there's more where that came from.

Yep: Pegged.

You obviously missed the point. I am advocating that Congress do the war declaring and the President not be permitted faux royalty visions of grandeur associated with his title of "Commander in Chief" since in all likelihood he has no qualifications for such a responsibility beyond having the DoD report to him. Under such circumstances the President should be held accountable for plans to expend resources to the Congress, detailed plans that are regularly updated. In the case at hand, the Resolution is no longer valid. There are no WMD, there was no imminent danger from them since they didn't exist, and Saddam was not found to be linked to Al-Qaeda, so, he wasn't about to give WMD (which he didn't have) to Al-Qaeda (an organization he did not tolerate existing inside Iraq), so there was no basis for the invasion, yet Bush did it anyway. It is no longer safe to assume the POTUS, from either party, or any party for that matter is going to be sufficiently trained and experienced to act as the present inhabitant of the White House would like to under the title of "Commander in Chief." So, I welcome the protection that comes with making the executive branch think things out, make plans, present and debate them, and convince the Congress of their veracity before we invade countries that have not threatened us. Regardless of which political party hat the POTUS is wearing. Jim
