First off, let me say that I was born and raised in Illinois (not WV)...
(And I have never seen so many people with "handlers" until I came here!)
Anyway, there seems to be a flaw in the study's assumption.
"The instinct evolved naturally and cannot be taught, John Tooby and Leda Cosmides of the University of California Santa Barbara wrote in their report in the journal Nature.
Spending time in the same household and watching your mother care for your brother or sister is all it takes. "
The second line contradict the first. Instinct is not learned by watching your mother. Watching and learning is called conditioning, not instinct. Just thought I'd throw that in.
