Surfboard Repair Anyone

Just how many repairs are too much.Ol' Charlie sure is looking beat beyond recognition. New damage on the nose and a couple other places It's more repair patchwork than original Man,this board is so good,it would be a shame to have to replace it

I know it's a longshot asking the question here but there are many Californians and Floridians here.

You know, if you used a 6' wood board like we did back in the old days, when we walked to school in 2 feet of snow, up hill, both ways, with our surfboard strapped to our backs you would not have to make those repairs. The repairs would be to the back of your head, ribs, hips, knees, but the board would be Fn fine. :-)

I was tempted to buy a nostalgic wood longboard but the pricetag was fookin' unreal.

I still have my old one but it has not seen sunlight in about 15 years. Both its and my age caught up, plus moving back to Kentucky there is seldom a good use.

Posting this I just realized the board is 38 years old as I bought it used from a friend.

By the way, that is a nice Shark you have.

I've seen those old 60's wood boards sell for up to $10k if in decent condition.

nutz - you live in Hawaii! If anyone would know if it could be repaired I'd be putting my money on them.

They were supposed to have invented surfing.

All previous repairs have been done by me.I'm just wondering what is the threshhold. I'd really hate for it to fall apart on me while on it

It looks fucked Nuts , it's nice to keep the old war hammers but this one looks as though the old repairs have been leaking by the amount of staines on the nose and deck , have you had it in the water of late , does it come out of the sea twice as heavy as when it went in ? The glass has gone brittle to by the look of it to ! Time for a new thruster buddy .
